Curvy Stool

The Curvy Stool (2019) began as an experiment in self-supporting assembly, evolving from the structural insights gained during the development of the Café Chair. The stool is built from ten individual components made up of just two repeating forms. These pieces interlock precisely, fitting together like a puzzle in which each element draws its structural integrity from the forms adjacent to it, eliminating the need for complex internal joinery. The result is a captivating, repetitive sequence of arcs designed to spark a sense of wonder about how it holds itself together. The Curvy Stool is a celebration of modularity and inherent structural balance.
